Technical Specialist
Milford , MA40hrs/m-f, 8:00am-4:30pm, every 1/3 weekend and on call Holiday rotation

Statement of Purpose:
Under general supervision, uses specialized knowledge or skills to perform hardware support and repairs for user departments across MRMC. Resolves hardware, software, and communication problems/conflicts/defects. Interacts with customers, recommend inventory purchases and control supplies and/or parts. Participates in projects as a technical Lead when requested.
Qualifications:
The overall combination of applicable experience and education will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis to determine if the required knowledge, skills and abilities exist.
Education:
College Degree in IT related field preferred or High school diploma with 3 to 5 years experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified and A+ certification as a minimum.
Certification / License:
Ability to obtain Specified Manufacturer Equipment Repair Certification.
Certifications such as Networks +, MCSI, MCP, CCNA, computer science, networking, application development, specialty programs or other applicable certifications.
Experience:
In addition to the requirements under education, the applicant must have a minimum of one year of highly responsible and verifiable experience in an information technology environment where applicable skill sets were acquired and/or utilized directly related to the job functions of this position.
Hands on knowledge of various operating systems.
Experience with networking protocols, printer repair, computer repair, storage.
Experience with setting up pc’s printers, barcode readers, label printers, monitors, scanners, multi-function printers and other peripherals.
Knowledge and experience in troubleshooting, using, maintaining software applications such as Windows, Microsoft Office, Outlook, etc.
Experience in project coordination and multitasking, customer services and problem resolution .
