Palliative Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant (Hospitalist) for Milford Regional Medical Center


Statement of Purpose
Milford Regional Physician Group has an immediate opening for a Palliative Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to support our Hospitalist Group at Milford Regional Medical Center.  The advanced practice provider will work under the direct supervision of a physician following established guidelines and practices.  The advanced practice provider will provide comprehensive advanced palliative care to patients and their families who have chronic illness.

Nurse Practitioner Qualifications
Education: Must be a graduate of an accredited graduate school of nursing
License/Certification: Must possess a valid Massachusetts license of Advanced Practice Nurse and Certificate from AANP or ANCC
Experience: Must have a minimum of one-year experience working as a NP, prior palliative care experience is preferred.  Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to sometimes have difficult conversations with patients and families.

Physician Assistant Qualifications
Education: Must be a graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
License/Certification: Must possess a valid Massachusetts Physician Assistant License and NCCPA Certification
Experience: Must have a minimum of one-year experience working as a PA, prior palliative care. Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to sometimes have difficult conversations with patients and families.

Schedule:
Monday-Friday 8 am – 4 pm with 1 weekend a month.  Schedule will drop 2 week days when working a weekend schedule.
Please note that the advanced practice provider will have physician back-up when he or she is doing weekend shifts.
