Medical Education Program Manager

Department Quality and Safety Division (1-8327) Schedule Full-time Shift Days Hours 40 hrs, Mon-Fri, 7:30 am-4 pm, no weekends or holidays
Statement of Purpose: 

The Medical Education Program Manager is responsible for managing and executing the design, development and deployment of training and development programs for the medical staff, residents and certain categories of students at MRMC. The ME Program Manager is responsible for coordinating all medical and professional staff, resident and student education including day-to-day management and operations. The ME Program Manager is also accountable for the Grand Rounds schedules, as well as assuring the granting of continuing education credits and current affiliation agreements. A strong affinity for building relationships and understanding the importance of strong customer service is essential in the ME Program Manager role. This position involves interaction and collaboration with organizational and medical staff leadership, as well as being the liaison with educational affiliates. In particular, overseeing continuing medical education programs, both external and internal, will be necessary to assure education for medical staff in organizational initiatives in patient safety and quality of care.

Direct report to the: Chief Quality Officer with close collaboration with the Chief Medical Officer.

Job Functions:

  • Works in collaboration with the Chief Medical Officer (CMO), the Chief Quality Officer (CQO) and other key stakeholders to develop and maintain provider education at MRMC.
  • Ensures administrative oversight of the Education committee.
  • Oversees the Continuing Medical Education credits process.
  • Works with the Residency Program Director and MRMC Site Directors to implement educational programs.
  • Manages and builds relationships with medical and advanced practice clinician (APC) schools to provide educational training at MRMC.
  • Collaborates with the CMO, CQO and Director of Medical Staff Services to review, update, educate and maintain the Medical Staff Bylaws and Rules and Regulations.


Bachelor's degree required.  Masters degree preferred.

Certification / License: None


  • Five (5) plus years of experience in healthcare environment, specifically medical education or medical staff services.
  • Program and/or Project Management experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to work as a team member.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and effective presentation skills.
  • Able to communicate in a concise, calm manner.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects, meeting deadlines and schedules.
  • Able to quickly adapt and learn in an ever-changing technical, contractual, and regulatory environment.
  • High degree of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality.
  • Self-directed and flexible.
