Manager of Behavioral Health Services for Milford Regional Medical Center

Statement of Purpose: 

Under the direct supervision of the Director of Care Coordination, the Manager, Behavioral Health Services (BH) is a licensed social worker specializing in Behavioral Health with demonstrated leadership skills and clinical excellence experience. The Manager, Behavioral Health provides administrative and clinical leadership to Behavioral Health clinicians, and oversees the implementation, ongoing performance, and management of the medical and psychological care. The Manager provides direction and leadership to ensure MRMC meets patient care needs, while improving the work life of providers and staff. This individual is responsible for supervisory and administrative practices, advocacy and education related to Behavioral Health practice and professional development, and direct service to patients


Education: Master’s degree in Social Work required

Certification / License: Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) required


  • Three (3) to five (5) years of experience as a Behavioral Health LICSW in an acute short-term general hospital, outpatient or psychiatric hospital setting required
  • Minimum of two years progressive relevant management experience preferred
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities, including ability to create direction independently
  • Strong clinical and behavioral health knowledge and skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to gather, utilize, and disseminate data in guiding and supporting practice
  • Ability to create strong teams and effective cross-organizational partnerships
  • Ability to recognize and navigate organizational dynamics and systems adeptly
  • Ability to work across settings
  • Demonstrated ability as a systems thinker and problem solver
