IS Help Desk Specialist

Department Applications (Main Campus) Schedule Per Diem/On-call Shift All Shifts Hours Per Diem/On Call (Varied as needed, wk.days 7a-3:30p, 3p-11:30p, wk.ends/holidays 7a-3:30p)

Ideal candidate will be a quick learner, strong problem solver and passionate about customer service. They will have a flexible schedule and able to cover varying shifts including weekends and occasional holidays.

Statement of Purpose:
Provide the
MedicalCenter with a central point of contact for hospital related information systems and problems.  Resolves problems within scope of responsibilities, or escalates to appropriate IS staff. This position also requires periodic monitoring of system and interfaces.  This position will report to the Applications Manager or designee.

Qualifications:

High school diploma with 1 to 3 years experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified. 

Experience:     Minimum of one (1) year of IS help desk, technical support, or call center experience required. Knowledge of MEDITECH preferred.  Understanding of Microsoft Windows, Exchange, Word, Excel, and Access preferred; must be able to work independently to research and resolve users' questions.  Must have very good communications skills, and be detail oriented.  Must be able to maintain a professional attitude when encountering difficult customers and/or high-pressure situations.
