Department Food & Nutrition Schedule Full-time Shift Day & E/O Weekends Hours 40 hours (varied days and hours)

Statement of Purpose:
Under the direct supervision of the Diet Supervisors, the Dietary Aide performs a variety of food service, dish room duties and cash handling duties as well as other related activities.

Education: Ability to read, write, speak & understand English at a 8th grade level. High school graduate preferred.

Certification / License: Serve Safe certification preferred.                 

Experience:  Food service experience in a health care facility preferred. Must have good positive, interpersonal Communication skills.

              Ability to read & comprehend patient meal ticket information in English –food items, name, room #

              Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

              Possess stamina to constantly make trips up & down to patient floors, delivering / retrieving trays,

              floor supplies, etc. throughout the shift

              Ability to stand throughout the shift while performing duties.

              Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide in English.
